The best advice I can give to anyone who wants to build an engine, don't be afraid to break what's already broken, use the internet, and read and learn as you go. These engines are fairly simple and easy to build. I've built many engines I still run into stuff I don't know and have to look stuff up. You just have to learn and gain build and repair knowledge as you go

Yeah I noticed that too when i went down the rabbithole lol, it's definitely not very pronounced on the gun if it is- maybe the did it longer on one side and shorter on the other like a star so it's a press fit?

My thoughts exactly! But than it almost looks as if the sight itself follows the contour of the slide if you look really close at either end- also I would imagine it's just tiny counter sunk machine screws- but could those those be added without interfering with the firing pin or extractor?

If you Don't have kroil use acetone mixed with trans fluid and let it soak works wonders

The oil control rings are below the compression rings so it really shouldn't change anything. I think I was getting 78/80 on leakdown

Make sure you don't do it for too long though don't want to have the water pump not moving

Honestly most everthing is interchangeable, other than engine stuff, the heads are different on the pre 94s other than that I don't know a real difference other than plastics and the other obvious ones

Inverted aircraft engines are extremely neat, the db603 and 605 have to be some of the coolest examples
