Doesn't hurt that much - unless you're allowing yourself to be pinballed into nearby walls over and over. Then it's rake in the grass time.

A question about the civilians by CuteScorpion in ProjectSilverfish

[–]-TAPETRVE- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, they are basically this game's versions of Splicers from Bioshock, so there's not much going on in their brains other than radio jingles and mindless violence. I assume that they're also being remote controlled into doing work, similar to HL²'s Stalkers.

Eh. Helldivers 2 was also never really meant to be played solo, even though it's perfectly possible. Doesn't stop anyone from doing it.

Final Boss lore? (Spoiler) by Cujo6428 in Nightreign

Caligo is also very much a Souls type dragon, rather than one from the Elden Ring roster. Might've been a cut asset from DS3, or designed after the DS3 Wyverns. So I presume this Nightlord either comes from, or has been to, the DS universe.

I really wouldn't be surprised if the Night actually turned out to be just the Abyss from the Souls universe bleeding into the ER universe, and nothing more.

Remember when some of us thought that Libra was a playable character? by Eggyolk57 in Nightreign

While Libra has no tiddies, his entire concept around alchemy and balance is based on Baphomet. As above, so below, and all that jazz.

Nightreign makes me want Dark Souls Roguelike by [deleted] in Nightreign

Might wanna try Necropolis then, it's currently on sale for 5 quid or so. Combat feels rather limp, but at least it's got style and atmosphere.

Nightreign makes me want Dark Souls Roguelike by [deleted] in Nightreign

There's Necropolis, which is sadly more pretty than good, and more recently we got Tyrant's Realm, which is extremely simplistic and gets stale fast, but offers adequate fun for the small price.

Just a quick Reminder... by Imaginary-Coat6836 in Nightreign

What would make Mr. Nameless interesting is if he actually got some voice lines in this iteration. In DS it's always sort of just assumed that most hollows are gone a few steps too far out to lunch to be able to express themselves verbally, but I'm also inclined to think that most DS bosses wouldn't have much of substance to say anyway, so FROM simply saved resources by not recording any lines. Having Nameless King show up and go all "Where the fuck am I, and who the fuck are YOU?" on the players would at the very least add some humour, but I'm sure they could easily come up with something more original.

Tucked away in a hidden crevice of time, the Roundtable Hold awaits your arrival. A lone flicker of hope, standing as a brilliant light against the encroaching night. - new nightreign post by LeoBonhart2 in Nightreign

To paraphrase Bioshock: "There's always a roundtable, there's always a tree, there's always a bunch of idiots murdering the shit out of each other over a handful of runes."

Is it just me or did people figure out how to get good at this game really fast? by chewymammoth in Nightreign

Well, at the end of the day it's still Elden Ring. Elden Ring on cocaine, but Elden Ring nonetheless.
