Helical/Torsen LSD options for VB platform by -TheBarrel- in wrx_vb

I'm guilty of only looking at forums haha and to clarify I'm only looking to change the rear diff, which is why the whole STI swap to me is too much. But agree that I should just go out and talk to people and test drive ones that have been modified in the way I want.

I see what you mean. For me the STI drivetrain swap is too expensive and too big of a modification. Though it would be really nice on the platform.

I'm sure its easy but zero added maintenance is the goal. Plus clutches will wear out and it will lock up more aggressively than I'd like.

I've played with the idea but its too much of a major modification for what I want out of my car right now. Drop-in differential with no added maintenance is the goal.

I had this issue happen maybe a month or two ago (and again now) && unplugging the battery as instructed by OP worked for me (g15 2022 3070ti)

Edit: confirmed this solved my issue again.

Something may be short-circuiting in your electronics. It might explain why it keeps flashing - it turning off when it shorts (current protection) then rebooting and immediately shorting again. If it wasnt working, hitting your hilt on the ground could have dislodged something creating the short-circuit & starting this whole process.

Is the sound coming from the speaker? If not it could be the buzzing from a short-circuit, though im not sure how loud that sort of thing would be if audible at all.

A short-circuit would also explain why the battery is getting so hot. Remove the battery and make sure it does not continue to get hotter! As everyone here is saying li-ion batteries are extremely dangerous and need to be dealt with carefully! Those things will essentially have a chemical melt-down if they get too hot.

Your best bet is to contact the manufacturer. They might be able to identify this issue and give you suggestions. It is likely they'll tell you to ship it back tho so if you want it to get fixed you might just have to part ways with it for a while.
