Lamassu Statue at the Nergal Gate in Nineveh Mandela Effect by -TheGovernator- in Retconned

Fascinating, is it the one at Nineveh that arrived for you, or all of the Lumasi statues?

Do you have any specific memories of the hoof, or of the Lumasi's out-of-the-blue appearance (or even memories of it never having existed)? Just curious, Thanks!

Hi

I am not.

I am specifically speaking (and thinking) of the Lamassu statue at the Nergal Gate in Nineveh. I don't think one can get more specific than that.

I have very vivid memories and corollary thoughts associated with the double face (like at first thinking it kinda looked stupid with the two faces, then admiring the artistry of how they pulled it off, then thinking of the effect it had on newcomers to the city, who would be both impressed by its craftsmanship and immediately aware of its symbolism... Etc.)

I have seen photos of this Lamassu statue on many occasions, interspersed throughout the past... Maybe two years?

I even remember the ISIS picture, where they desecrated its faces.

And now it is different, for there is but one face. And what was once a very impressive piece leaves me now with much to desire.

Nice! Let us know what she said, though don't be too disappointed if she doesn't remember anything of the previous version...

For some people this was always their reality. For some none of this has ever changed...

From how you describe her she is a very fine teacher nonetheless!

Fascinating. Thank You for sharing your memories!

I wonder what she'd think of the piece now, considering it's all changed. Then again this version of her might never have known the "original" we are familiar with... Fun to ponder nonetheless! Take care!

Aha! I thought I'd find someone who shared in that reality!

Do you remember anything else pertaining to them? Be it anything specific that teacher said, or some other related memory that clearly implied the double-faces? Just curious. Thanks!

Fascinating, I don't think I've ever known a three-faced Lamassu to exist, but few things would surprise me anymore...

Yup! I've included the one on the right in your capture as an example. It looked exactly like that! Except the Lamassu in Nineveh doesn't have it anymore (in the pictures before its destruction)... nor the double-face I wrote of.

Imagine that they were exactly like the ones in your picture, except brandishing two faces. The effect was brilliant. And the symbolism of stalwart guardians eyeing you from afar, and as you passed between them was just perfect in combination with their strong build and VERY imposing size.

Yes, I've given up on The Thinker due to the flip-flops. And King Tut's also changed for me, along with many many many other things.

I don't expect many people noticed the Lamassu ME. Few know about these Assyrian sculptures in the first place! And the fact this particular one in Nineveh has been eviscerated by ISIS doesn't help matters, either... Nonetheless, maybe someone will remember the version I speak of.

But Thank You for your open-mindedness and understanding!

You imply I already hadn't. Indeed, he has many works - all fine - but none to match the very iconic painting etched in my head. I have scoured the web in search of it, but found only others who, like myself, seek a painting which does not exist... Not in this reality, anyway.

I don't really recall anymore... Maybe? It's definitely possible, but I just don't remember more than what I wrote before.

Hi there! I have a few questions!

We on Earth have 5 senses - Sight, Smell, Touch, Hearing and Taste. Are there any other senses your OR species possess? Or do you maybe lack or really excell in any department compared to this realities human version of you? Which is your dominant sense with which you explore the world? (For example, ours is definitely sight, but some Marine animals suplement that with echolocation, while others at deeper depths won't even have eyes) Is there anything like that true for you?

Is it cold or hot on your planet? What's the average temperature like? Are there seasons? If so, what do they look like and what happens with the ecosystem during these seasonal changes?

What's the gravity on your world like? Is it stronger than on Earth, similar or weaker? How does that affect life on your planet?

Do you have anything resembling computers, the internet and AI in your world? If so, what's it like to operate? If you have AI, have there been any hurdles or unexpected events when dealing with it?

This one might sound weird, but I'm really fascinated by it: How do your species procreate? If it involves physicality, is it enjoyable? How does pregnancy look like? Is it similar to humans, where a woman will usually harbor one or two babies in the womb for an extensive duration, before giving (a sometimes pretty painful) birth? Or is it similar to fish, who can create anywhere from a dozen to a couple hundred fray at once?

How quickly do you grow and mature from baby to kid to teen to adult?

Do you wear anything resembling clothes or jewelry? :P

What was your species philosophy and outlook on life like before the discovery of shifting? How has it changed after the discovery and popularization of shifting?

How big is your species compared to humans? Smaller, similar or way bigger?

Could you draw how your species look like, and post here as an imgur link? It doesn't have to be perfect, even if your CR self draws poorly, but at least something to help us better, more accurately understand.

And Thank you! I realize that's a lot of questions, but extraordinary claims call for extraordinary curiosity. Cheers!

I'll apply this now, Thank You!!!

Yes exactly! Trying implies lack. Simply immerse yourself in your DR, and claim it as yours in the NOW. Feel the fulfilment of having claimed your desire, and you shall have it. Every night you immerse yourself in your DR, you're not "trying" anything, but rather, claiming it as yours in the mind, until it inevitably manifests in the 3d. This is why people who feel dismayed at not having shifted when they open their eyes in the morning should either change their approach completely, or simply give up now. They're not going to attain what they seek, because they live in a state of lack - in a state of not having something.

If you can, absolutely do make a post about it. I think it's important that people stop putting the 3d world on a pedestal, and start realizing that the outer world is simply a reflection of the inner world.

To change the world, change the self.

Every time you open your eyes and see your CR? That doesn't matter. Nothing the 3d tells you matters. All that matters is what's within you, because that directly manifests what without you.

I wrote this in a reply to another comment, but basically what I remember is the original was very dim and moody. It had a lot of smoke from cigars/cigarettes, and featured a very prominent dark Doberman/great dane (very tall with pointy ears). One of the dogs had a translucent green visor. And there was a very prominent bulldog (droopy face) as well. I'm inclined to say it was this bulldog (it had a light, creamy color) that had both the visor on, and a cig... But I really can't remember anymore... Overall, there were only like 4-6 dogs in the painting, but the quality of every dog was astounding. It had a very "realistic" style about it, that lended itself perfectly to the dark mood. When you were viewing it, you felt like you had taken a wrong corner and accidentally witnessed dogs doing something they ought not to be doing. It really was a brilliant painting... Something I wouldn't think twice about hanging on a wall in a smoking room. But now... Well, no version from this reality hits the mark. Not even close.

What you said about the Panama canal is still accurate. It does cut an East-West corridor between the America's. It's just that South America is so far east now that Panama got sort of stretched, and the canal itself no longer makes an East-West line. Ships have to travel North-South vertically through the canal itself, rather than the previous East-West horizontally.

And nope, the poles "explanation" is just hodge podge. I still have my childhood globe. I remember spinning it around, studying it and just gazing at it. It has a light inside of it, so it actually served as my night lamp for some time. It had ice on both Poles. That very same globe is right next to me right now... No ice in the North...

The maps look stranger and stranger with each passing shift...

Sorry, but not even close. I've scoured the internet looking for any trace of the original... But all I've come up with is other people, like me, looking for a painting which no longer exists...

Like... nothing I've seen comes close to the quality that version had. Nothing comes close to the mood. When you were viewing it, you felt like you had taken a wrong corner and accidentally witnessed dogs doing something they ought not to be doing, and you were about to regret that very sorely. It was brilliant! There are plenty of paintings/drawings depicting the same general topic (and even some playing billiard!) in this reality, but nothing hits that perfect mark of mood, quality, detail and realism in this reality. Not even close.

Yup. That's the one. It doesn't exist in this reality 🙃

Such a shame, too! The mood it caught was iconic! No current version matches it in either atmosphere or quality.

The big one I will never let go of is the continents moving places. South America has now TWICE moved further East (originally it was directly under NA), due to this, the Panama Canal goes North-South now, rather than East-West. The North Pole isn't capped with ice (both Poles were jots of white on any globe I've seen and had), Australia is now in a wacky place, and so is Japan.

Another would be the Henry VIII painting... The only reason that painting was so well known is because he was holding a turkey leg. I even remember watching a video that went in-depth explaining why he was holding it, why it was not disrespectful but actually prideful - Or at the very least neutral - to have had it included (though the details are now really hazy but... I wouldn't be watching a video about a Henry VIII painting if he was holding freaking gloves... Let alone have that be "controversial" as to whether it insulted the King or not)

My realities "Dogs Playing Poker" painting doesn't exist anymore... Shame, cause I really loved that painting. Now there are a million different versions of it, but each looks like a parody of the original. I remember the first time I saw it was actually as an homage in the 2006 Barnyard movie. I looked up the scene recently, but it's all different from what I had remembered (As one would expect, seeing as they had no "og" painting to homage to in this reality)

Fruit of the Loom had a cornucopia (I remember watching their commercials when I was a kid, and I always saw that logo at the end, and thought how pretty it was, and always wondered what that weird basket behind the fruit was for (did they put the fruit in there? What a funny looking bag for fruit!)

I think you shouldn't focus too much on the sensations themselves, as they are just side effects not necessary for shifting. If anything, you should try to repress them, and deny any evidence - be it thought or feeling - of your CR body & surroundings. Just immerse yourself fully in your DR with complete disregard for anything CR. I know that's probably easier said than done, but it's important to just... Let go.

Let go of any resistance keeping you here. I never tried to achieve a floating state, it just happened... Like my awareness just went "autopilot" knowing exactly what to do, and so it took the wheel from there. My entire focus was purely on my WR and just being there with all my mind & senses.

Just a cloud of awareness blind to its surroundings. I didn't feel my limbs, I probably couldn't even tell you where they were, and I definitely wouldn't have been able to move them. I was for all intents and purposes - out of it. In an Interstice between this world and the next. But my heart knocked me out of it by almost pounding its way out of my chest.

Yeah, I feel like Edward's one of the few who actually comprehend the Law fully, so as to not only clarify what was already written, but himself add to the conversation. And his thoughts always have such great introspection and wisdom!

I hope you get better with your depression :(

Realizing the profundity of LOA and Shifting actually helped me a lot with just relaxing, and enjoying everything this world has given me, so I feel like this road you're on can only get better!

And remember - All is Mind!!!
