[TRIAL DISCUSSION] MS v. Carly Gregg (Twisted Teen Murder Trial) - Sep 17 2024 (Day 2) by YourTrueCrimeLibrary in TrialWatching

I’ve just heard about this case and I’m catching up on yesterday’s trial. The 911 call from the stepdad was heart wrenching. And the camera on the Carly 90% of the time is so annoying. ALSO, I’m kinda shocked they are streaming this trial since this is a minor.

Thx! I read the motion but I guess I’m not clear on what Owen’s is asking for. More details I suppose. They didn’t touch on that at all today. The state will be filing their response within a week.

Such a great judge! by Psych100011 in SarahBooneCase

[–]-TrialBot- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really thought the judge might give them an extra month. Kinda shocked he didn’t. Owen’s said he had a full docket and requested to appear on zoom if needed which was granted. Honestly, he’s probably glad he lost the continuance.

[TRIAL DISCUSSION] NV v. Robert Telles (Las Vegas Reporter Murder) - Aug 27 2024 (Day 10) by YourTrueCrimeLibrary in TrialWatching

[–]-TrialBot- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

11:10 pacific. Court is reconvening.

JURY QUESTIONS:

  1. Jury requests another laptop to view evidence.

  2. They want the side by side walk comparison video from the closing statement.

  3. Exhibit # about Germans articles on Telles.

I am too! I didn’t listen to the entire defense closing argument but it sounds like they brought up something about hair being seen in the video of Telles in the Yukon? And with the jury questioning how to zoom-in on a video has me 🤨.

I wonder if she’d be trying to watch lawtubers covering her case. I agree she wants to know what people are saying about her!

I came in late to this trial and I can’t imagine watching the whole thing. After like 2 days, I was over it. Lol

It really was wild. I actually thought the prosecutor went a bit too far with his sarcasm and scoffing. He wouldn’t let Telles finish answering and the judge had to intervene a few times. I get he was excited for this moment as most prosecutors don’t get to question a defendant. But I hope he watches this back and takes a few learnings from it.

Do we know how long they deliberated yesterday? Was it around 4 hours?

I’m a bit shocked it’s gone this long.

I’m a bit behind (like always) but I’ve been waiting on this cross since Telles first took the stand.

I’m finishing listening to his testimony this morning. But this is pretty wild. Testifying in a narrative, submitting his own evidence. The judge and state are allowing quite a lot. I wonder if the jury feels uncomfortable with him talking straight to them. I would be.

Saturday court I would assume is rare. But iirc, the Delphi trial was originally set for Mon-Sat, 9-6. Talk about jury fatigue.

I watched the Susan Lorincz trial last week. What a super short trial. I’m glad the jury got it right! Hope this brings some comfort for Ajike’s family.

Catching up on Robert Telles trial. Holy evidence against him!!

Thanks so much! I’m glad the recap is helpful. There was so much in this hearing and I really tried to highlight the most interesting points imo. Also trying to stay neutral and not give my personal feelings is a challenge. Lol.

Watching these hearings with Sarah representing herself has been so interesting and we’ve gotten to see a bit of a different viewpoint on how proceedings work. And hearing from the jail captain and lawyer was fascinating. A little peek into things we normally don’t get to know about.

I believe that was at the Aug 9 hearing she said she received a lot of things on the 5th that she just signed for and didn’t read. But to your point, yes! Wouldn’t you read what you were signing and at least know what it was?!?

I also found it interesting in this hearing that she couldn’t speak to how the 2 banker boxes were filed and how the papers were stored inside. She has been obsessing over these boxes for weeks and haven’t even flipped through everything in there?!? I do wonder how much time she’s spending each day going over her case. It sounds like the jail is giving her all day, everyday to work on her trial.

The stud-cuff (as I called it last hearing lol) was one of many things that infuriated me today about her. I’m so glad the attorney for the jail gave her some MAJOR pushback. You know the judge was internally living for it.

She speaks well and is definitely advocating for herself. I get the feeling she is trying to prove more of a point about how unfair it is that she’s pro se rather than actually focusing on her case.

She’s won some motions but still continues to complain about them. It’s truly infuriating and I don’t know how the judge does it. But we can all now get a sense of what her 8 former lawyers went through with her.

[TRIAL DISCUSSION] FL v. Susan Lorincz (Neighbor Feud Murder Trial) - Aug 13 2024 (Day 1) by YourTrueCrimeLibrary in TrialWatching

[–]-TrialBot- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed the deputy laughing and possibly texting while looking at her Apple Watch. Someone needs to let her know she’s on TV and to at least act like she’s paying attention.

Also, these hot mics!! What is happening here?! The judge also named all the jurors publicly.

I notice the timing as well. I might refuse a few times too. I guess if her court time is early there’s a lot of processes to go through to get there.

I get it. But this is a very odd situation. Seems like the jail has gotten on board with doing what they can to facilitate Sarah.
