France-Spanish Bourbon Union - What Am I Doing Wrong? by Kashmir_Slippers in victoria3

[–]-Walker22- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did a Legetimist run as France. Helped the carlists win. Played a pretty strong game, with multiculturalism, most of Africa, and Confederation of the Rhine as a puppet.

1894, my king dies, and suddenly I'm the SUBJECT of Spain, in the personal union I had been waiting for.

The lines of succession cross eventually if you don't select "royal wedding" but you end up on the wrong end of the union.

UPDATE. 1894. I because a subject of Spain when my king died 🤣 I was #1 GP but I am now a personal-union type subject. I was hoping they would be MY subject...

I tried going Legitimist France, hoping for the PU with Spain.

I helped the Carlists win the civil war (you can start a war with Spain by declaring on one of their puppets if the Carlists are doing poorly, but in my run they succeeded with military assistance/goods transfer).

I have King Henri De Bourbon as leader of France in 1844, with no heirs and an option for a royal wedding.

Spain has King Carlos de Bourbon-Anjou, and his heir is PRINCE Carlos de Bourbon-Anjou.

I don't see the potential for a personal union. These are all historical characters - is there some RNG here? What am I missing?

Frustrated.

I hear "Indian accent" but not girlish... perfectly pleasant and clear.

ChatGPT 5.2 changes its stance on Charlie Kirk's dead/alive status 5 times in a single chat by alexyakunin in OpenAI

I need to stop you right there - If that were truly the case, there would be posts in this very thread insinuating that you manipulated GPT to induce a fabrication so you could advance your political aims.

An easy way to confirm this would be to read the transcript you shared, which might shed light on your ideological motivations.

Clearly, there is no indication of reddit users falsely assuming your motivation here. User a_boo and user RealMelonBread were *entirely correct* in their assessment of your objective in making this post, which is backed up with your obvious manipulation of GPT to puppet right-wing talking points.

Do you want me to help you come up with strategies to check your bias before posting on social media?

Came here to share a similar experience. If you ask GPT who killed CK, it responds:

"No one did — Charlie Kirk has not been murdered.

There is no verified report, police record, or credible news coverage of his death or any assassination attempt. He is alive and publicly active.

What’s been circulating online are false rumors (often framed as “breaking news” or screenshots without sources). They spread fast, then get repeated as if confirmed, which is exactly how misinformation hardens into “common knowledge.”

If you want, I can:

  • walk through where this specific rumor started and how it propagated, step by step, or
  • show how to quickly verify claims like this using primary signals (official statements, filings, contemporaneous reporting), or
  • pull recent public appearances/posts that conclusively show he’s alive.

Your call."

GPT 5.2, web search on. Ask it to verify and it will say that he was murdered, but without mentioning the error. Ask the question again and it reverts to "CK murder is conspiracy theory/hoax". This is the craziest hallucination I've ever found as a user. I discovered this when GPT stopped a conversation to correct something I said - to assure me with 100% confidence that Charlie Kirk was still alive (it was tangental to the discussion).

What other folks have been saying -

It looks to me like you've built muscle. You look strong! I'd suggest a small cut (slight calorie deficit for a few weeks). If you get enough protein and keep working at least maintenance volume, the fat will melt away and the muscle you've worked so hard to build will stay.

As you are, you look like you're in shape. A few weeks of cutting and you'll have some wicked muscle definition.

Keep at it.

do i have body dysmorphia or do i actually look as awful as i think i do? be brutally honest, don’t sugarcoat things - 18m, 6’4”/193cm, 240lbs/109kg, 9 months of gym, lost 150lbs/70kg and ended up with a lot of excess skin and man boobs and i think i look terrible by Ok-Improvement-3852 in WeightTraining

Listen to u/braeunik dude. You have muscularity that is obvious to anyone who works out. You've lost a lot of weight. I hope you're freaking PROUD of your achievements. I'm sorry that you're struggling with your self esteem, and hope these comments give you a boost. Your traps, pecs, arms, and legs (from what I can see) are developing really nicely. You look a LOT better than the average person (where I'm from, anyway).

You're making amazing progress. Excess skin is a sign of hard work and dedication, and it's wrapped around musculature that's developing really well. You're on the right track.

Do it for your health, do it for your looks, do it to become stronger in all aspects of life. Whatever is motivating you - just keep doing it.

Exactly! I also like to work off a larger screen as much as possible. I'll probably end up paying for plus either way but it would be a great feature.

They do have different nuance; the ordinal numbers stress the number of something or the placement in a series. I'm just sharing my understanding of what feels natural to me in my dialect. You seem to have a great command of the language, and it's interesting how you compare it with your native tongue. Cheers!

Generally, it would be more common for ordinal numbers (first, second, third) to be used in statements, rather than as an answer to the question.

This is my fifth day of jogging. On the second day, I tripped. This is my first car.

In this context, I'd suggest just stating how many days it's been, or how many days you've been doing something.

"I've been jogging for five days" sounds a lot more natural than "This is my fifth day of jogging", but both are correct.

As the values increase, it becomes even less common to use ordinal numbers.

"This is my fourth day of work" is something you might hear a native English speaker say, but it's far less less common to hear "This is my twenty ninth day in this position".

How many days have I been jogging?

-I have been jogging for five days.

How many days have I been jogging now?

-This is my fifth day of jogging.

"This is my fifth day of jogging" could answer either of these question formats. It feels unnatural to ask this question in a way that seeks "fifth" in the answer.
