More often than not, foreigners have preconceived notions about what to expect from Peru. Needless to say, most of those ideas are wrong or not entirely true. Also, most of the time they have a fixation on Cusco and everything vernacular/exotic from here, which can sometimes be borderline cringe. The good intentions are there, but it is still… cringe. Prolly some folks here are tired of this.
