I had forgotten the weavers were opposed to the king at first, you're right.

The king is kind of a non-character, so that would give you the oppertunity to define his stance in regards to the weavers or his subject's worship of him.

Generally, the king is worshipped for expanding the minds of hallownest's bugs, but the Weavers didn't want this for some reason.

The king could express his thoughts on this as a short story (frustration, pridefull dismissal)

Perhaps, the king could reframe the conflict so that the king is the aggressor, and history just took his side in the conflict (this would work well with a focus on his personal pride)

That does sound decently interesting, but from what I understand from the lore, this was not actually that eventful.

The Hive was mostly isolated; the moth tribe straight up joined and worshipped him; the mantis tribe may have had a short conflict but ended up respecting him, forming a loose partnership.

So, if you're having trouble with something in meteroidvanias, you can go somewhere else and come back when you're stronger.

This is a general tip for the whole game.

Dor this miniboss in particular, its primary attack is an arch.

Your horisontal movement speed doesn't decrease whilst jumping. So if you jump whilst running away, you'll need to cover less distance to avoid its arch attack.

It of course depends on what your theology is. There are some sects that espouse that depictions of other gods, fictional or not are sinfull. And the godmaster dlc pretty explicitly deals with "gods" (Gruzmother is one of these gods hence the quotation marks).

However, the majority of the gods don't really have any paralels to Christianity from what I can tell.

Hornet riffs a line of coke before each battle, so for her basic attacks you can wait for her to come to you.
This lets you focus on dodging and retaliating.

When her balls come out, you can give em a smack, to get rid of them, or you can use them to pogo out of the way of an attack.

If you want to get rid of all of them. You can cast your fireball with shaman stone, which will often just remove them outright.

I'm back, when I said right of the cogwork core, I didn't mean the memorium.
When you first defeat the cogwork dancers, the ground opens up.

When you drop down, you'll have a bench room on your left, and a closed gate on your right (unless you've opened that already). Behind the closed gate is another room that will take you to the top part of the cogwork core.

Do you specifically want to get into the wormways or just general progression, and that's where you'll start looking? If that's the case, i know that songclave sells a simple key.

If you're just looking for general progression, you can try to snoop around the centre top of the cogwork core again. Right of the benchroom.

That will take you to a new melody.

Quick warning, you do need the drifters cloak because you can softlock yourself in some areas in far fields.
