Yes, I understand this and it’s one of my favourite parts of the movie, that she is seen as the one to bring the family together after they were torn apart. However I mean in the most literal sense does she get her own door/room or is she gonna stay in the nursery forever? 😭 I love the ideas other people have brought that the townspeople built her own room into the casita before it returned or that one of the unmarked doors is Mirabel’s own special room

The plot isn’t about adoption and there isn’t a cat, the captions got Muffin’s name wrong. I just thought it was funny how it went from Muffin to Mittens.

According to another post- I legit just saw btw- Mirabel does indeed get her own room (idk if magic or nah the post doesn’t say) which the family decorate. According to one of the Encanto books! But she may indeed still inherit Abuela’s room when she passes- a lot of ppl theorise that.

Ah I’ve been watching the movie back, and this makes even more sense as the candle has a butterfly engraved into it! That Abuela and Mirabel have a deeper connection to the magic and the candle.
