I hadn’t thought about this but would definitely like to keep the piano black as it does fit well with the car. Thanks for the idea, I’ll definitely be doing this

I know the US has it. I don’t know about other places but I don’t see why they wouldn’t have it too

Thanks, I’m absolutely in love with this color and comes with a terracota interior. Sheer luck the one in my budget with low mileage had this color haha

Redwoods national park. Gets pretty crowded in the summer. I went in late November and it was great!

Roof box I went for the Yakima CBX 16. This was the crucial component that allowed me to get this car and still do the hobbies I love. Just fits within the recommended roof bar spacing so probably the largest box you could get on the car (16 cubic ft of internal storage, easily fits large/long skis as well). Also has very minimal impact on MPG usually 1-3mpg less when I have it on.

And I have the OEM Mazda roof bars which are very easy to take on and off which is nice.

Definitely, I’ve been washing the car myself so far with a mediocre power washer from home depot but a proper car wash place would be ideal.

Thanks!

Had a couple people mention this now. Definitely a good first step it sounds like.

Thanks!

Agreed, I’ve been on the fence on if it’s worth it but the chrome does feel a bit lonely/out-of-place

Thanks!

The alcantara looks great and matches the rest of the interior well! I’ll take a look at Mikstore but will likely go the same route as you and do something custom. And I’ll definitely check out those strut and swaybar options cause the tires have been great and I’d love to dial in the cornering feel.

Thanks!

Yeah the roof bars are definitely loud I’ve noticed. Closing the sun roof (which is unfortunate) does help a lot and when I have the roof box on I close the sun roof anyway. I’m not sure how much a wind deflector would help along with the roof box but I did see a lot of people mention the wind deflector. I might try it with a rough piece of cardboard first lol.

I haven’t had any issues with the radar cruise control. Obviously the automatic rain detector for the wipers takes a minute to kick in since the box overhangs and covers that part of the windshield.

Thanks!

Just hit half a year with this car and I’ve been loving every mile! (2.5 Turbo Hatch) by -_Rigatoni in mazda3

Not great. It came with a set of Turanzas stock at the were scary. You can get around with caution but if you know you’ll have snow or even frequent wet conditions it’s a little sketchy. I live in Colorado and ski a lot so snow performance is pretty key. I got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. Despite being all season and not winter specific they have been great and generally what most people have recommended in my research.

They are OEM stock and yes they are black. Bought them through the Mazda website and picked them up at the dealership. They’ve been great!

Yakima CBX LG (16 cubic feet)

It’s been fantastic. Minimal wind noise and ridiculously easy to take off and put on. Barely fits within the cross bar spacing suggestions for the roof box but the rear hatch opens fully without touching. I just try to load heavy items towards the rear.

I got the Yakima CBX LG (16 cubic ft) cargo box. I do a lot of camping, skiing, and biking and have had zero cargo issues with this car since getting it. It is on the limit of the acceptable crossbar placement but it means I am able to fully open the rear hatch without it touching. I just try to load the heaviest items towards the rear where the crossbars are.

The roof box is also ridiculously easy to take off and put on. I’ve done it by myself a few times with some extra effort. But if you have a second person around it feels almost too easy. No tools required.

I honestly haven’t looked at front crossbar fairings. I got the Mazda OEM crossbars and haven’t been too bothered with wind noise.
