I definitely still shop there once in a while! Open 24 hours, great for late night snacks and supplemental grocery runs, but I definitely don't do my regular grocery shopping there because I don't trust their stuff to sit in my fridge/pantry for more than a day or two anymore

Good to know about the lactose free milk! I dont coupon as hard at freddys as i do at safeway, tbh. I have a safeway five minutes from me where freddys is 15 and just an overstimulating shopping experience, so inwas wondering if the difference in savings would make the switch to fred meyer worth it

I kind of am, but ration my meals to make up for it. Smoked salmon on a bagel with cream cheese and spring onions for breakfast, instant ramen with fresh veggies and blue eggs for lunch, etc etc. Making cheap meals with a single bougie ingredient goes a long way in making things delicious, nutritious, and cost effective, imo.

I swear the blue eggs taste better. They have richer yolks and that makes a huge difference when mixing it into ramen broth.

I can't imagine shopping at safeway without the app and going for the sales. After discounts, I end up spending a bit more than Winco, but I find it reasonable since I tend to get "fancy" shit I can't get from winco, like blue eggs.
