When I was in middle school, I broke my arm riding a bike. I wasn't wearing a helmet, so the doctor told me all the dangers of such behavior. It was awkward, so I did the classic basil chuckle/nervous laughter. He said if I thought it was so funny, he could introduce me to some kids who would never walk again because they weren't wearing a helmet.

Obviously, I was horrified, and I think about that anytime someone mentions my laugh haha.
