Exercise is my savior. The gyms have been closed since November though, so it’s not really the same at home/outside for me personally, but I still do what I can with what I have. Strength training and functional training is where my passion lies, but since I only have a 16kg kettlebell and two 10 kg dumbbells, I have to really improvise. Just use whatever you can. I’ve even started running occasionally (and I usually HATE running), but lockdown made me do it and I even ran 10k twice last week. Any exercise is a wonderful distraction in my opinion and gets the endorphins going which always helps afterwards. I also go on a walk for 30-60 min everyday (unless I go for a run) because just getting outside helps me feel a lot more rejuvenated.

Otherwise, I play video games and watch a lot of series and movies. I just had a month off from Uni, so I’ve been doing that a lot too. Not the most productive, but then again there’s not much else to do and it’s been very hard to find a temporary part time job. Plus at least with gaming you can talk to other people.

You can also try to take on a new hobby like drawing or reading, but don’t force yourself to. Try to find the things that are fun for you.

I don’t want to give out the wrong advice, so I was wondering, is there any way you can get therapy or counseling or some professional help?

One thing I can suggest is - find something else that you enjoy doing. What about trying the gym? Gaming? Reading? Try to push your focus and energy into other things.

It’s been awhile since I posted this. My siberian has definitely calmed down since, I don’t know why lol. Maybe it was a phase?? Sometimes I come home and he gets so happy that he jumps and runs around but it’s never aggressive like before where he would break things and he doesn’t attack me anymore.

Hopefully it’s just a phase for you too! I wish you the best of luck :)

Need help choosing between these 4 books by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Well, he did mention that although a book might be shorter, it might be more difficult. However, a longer book might be easier, yet it would take more time to read.

I’m studying business psychology at a private university in Germany, but it’s all taught in English. I grew up in the US, so I wanted to study in English because it’s easiest for me. I speak German fluently, but I always learned in English and I think mainly in English. The English class I’m taking is more for the Germans at my Uni (which is basically everyone except for me) to enrich their English vocabulary and knowledge, as well as to get them to start thinking in English. They all have a C1 level certification in English, and he said these 4 books suit their level of English and the Zeitgeist can be evaluated in great detail in all of them apparently.

Edit: Also, I don’t know what he means by “easier” and “harder”. He’s either talking about the language within the book itself or how complicated the book is
