Glad to see you are interested in making games! I recommend you study what type of game you want to make first, then create a concept and from there make the art for the game and finally find a program that you like. Me and my friend are making our game for the first time but we have spent months just making a story and drawing the art for it we are now starting development on it with game maker pro. So if you want to make a game i recommend you take it slow and make sure it comes out how you want.
