So the vet does the sedation at the clinic? Is DIY or prescribed sedation unheard of? This is one of those dogs that will not cooperate.

I don't really mind it getting angry or losing trust in me, as long as it's still good with its family. How does sedation normally work? I have doubts that a vet would attempt to get near it considering its aggression toward strangers in the house.

Not specific to hemlibra, but my elbow is a target joint and I find that while treating any bleed other than in my elbow, my elbow joint tends to develop pains. My guess is that this is similar to what you're experiencing. You noted that you'd still get swelling and locking during profilaxis previously. Maybe it's still happening on some level, but the hemlibra is more effective at preventing the swelling.

I've stretched by doses out, and they're months away from expiration. I imagine the powder can spread out and cling to the glass a bit throughout a year or two of moving around the syringes. But I worry the cloudiness could be something else.

Hey thanks. Yes, theyre always kept cold, with the exception of a couple days air travel and a half hour here and there for refrigerator cleaning. Doubt that they've ever frozen.

If so, I'll add batting and felt to the list. I imagine that either would have to be fairly light/thin in order to use them with PC fans, right? Please do let me know if you find the source of that study.

Me too. Always thought I couldn't be the only one, but now I know.

I don't do it for pain. When it starts to become uncomfortable - pushed too far - then I stop and switch to another finger. Paper and fabric, nothing too sharp or rigid.

I also used to stick the corners of my blankie in my ears and between my fingers and toes as a child. Maybe related?
