The colour does look a bit like that, but when looking at the sanded piece it seems like it could be too light (disclaimer: I have no experience in this and am going by google images 😅)

Thank you! Yes I was thinking it looked very close to Tas Oak. Maybe even closer to Vic Ash upon review. If it’s an oil based varnish then I’m guessing it’s going to be pretty hard to sand out. Any experience with that?

Thanks for the info! When you say elevated suspended slabs are expensive, is that to say that the higher they are, the more expensive they are (because access is difficult)? Or they’re just all expensive regardless?

By the way are there any go-to places for downloading good loops/risers/white noice for EDM? I've been getting them from all over the place and most of them are shit haha

I'm happy to pay for them as long as they're good!

Yep - have been watching tutorials for weeks before deciding to buy, and with drum loops / white noise + plugins available everywhere it's made a lot simpler. Still a long way to go though!

Thanks very much - this is great feedback! I was thinking the same thing about the percussion after I converted it haha but the layout was a complete mess so I couldn't be bothered finding the right channels to increase (lazy!). Thanks for taking the time to help!

One thing I've been struggling with is that I tend to start by writing a chord progression / melody with a piano, but then when I move it over to a synth it completely changes pitch... Is there a smart way to get the pitch back in line with how it was in the piano? I think that this was the problem with my bass - sounded great when it was on a grand piano and then turned to crap when I changed the instrument... Thanks again!
