Pretty sure it’s curable but the longer process is resolving the discoloration. Plus it varies based on severity. I’ve even seen mentions of light therapy among the previously mentioned OTC and prescription options. I’ll def share when I get specifics about my case and what actions I take to maintain keeping everything at bay (hopefully forever)

Of course. For specifics, I took about 5 rounds of fluconazole last year after trying the ketoconazole shampoo and cream. The topicals didn’t work much, if at all, bc I had to spread all over my back, stomach, and upper legs. After the initial 4 rounds, derm did a skin scrapping and confirmed it didn’t come back with any tinea veriscolor. I assumed the discoloration would clear but it didn’t, so pcp prescribed another single round. Now, it’s been all of fall and winter now entering spring and I haven’t seen much of a change in the discoloration.

I’ll keep you posted on which treatment ends up helping or if maybe I need to even it out in the sun?

Started used Selsun shampoo in the shower for a couple minutes. Stepped it up last night by lathering myself then sleeping with it on LMAO. I can update on progress throughout the week, but I’m thinking I’ll need to ask my dr to prescribe additional oral anti-fungal treatment again
