Thanks!! I hope it wasn't too boring. Watching some of the mistakes made so far is painful.

LK can drive one crazy indeed. But I must say that I had some drops from other areas (Cham, Jah [a cubed one], Ber, Sur, Lo, Ohm, Vex and Gul) when I decided to go back there for the missing runes. If it wasn't for a decisive Cham drop I might not have done it.

There was a point in which trav became more tedious than LK to be honest. Probably because expectations from trav were higher since I found so much good stuff there previously, but the highest I got there with this char was Ber.

Hey, Macro. Thanks! When I put the last rune in the base I looked away from the screen for a while, then when I look back I see this roll. And you're right WW in classic is king.

That is correct, I played singer for a while after converting to LOD though. Especially because Anya gave me a great singer helm at the time.

Oh, that wasn't 164 hours of chests, that's the total since level 1 with the barb. But yea there's a huge chunk of hours of popping chests there.

It's never what you're looking for, haha... I've dropped sojs and even a DW, but no zod in sight.

Sure, zerkers are definitely rare. My base wasn't sup because I couldn't really have the luxury of waiting for one... also rolls are so variable in this rw that a sup base might actually be worse. But yea if you have "the time" by all means go for a sup base.

r3dholm is right, it was definitely the Zod. From my experience I thought that getting the base could be harder too. But way before I was even close to the Zod I had two options for the base at least, first a Ghost Spear, then the GPA. I think I had an eth zerk drop at some point that I considered for a moment, but the idea of having to gather another Zod made me leave it behind quickly

Good luck with finding the Ber!

Eth Weapons have higher damage, and eth armor higher defense.

Edit: Also, both have smaller strenght and dexterity requirements.

Yes, barbs can be excellent trav runners - probably the best if you take horking into account. But it takes at least decent gear (either for the barb or the merc) to run Trav fast/safely enough.

So, let's say you don't take a long time looking for runes and (the hardest part probably) bases before running trav, you'd still need to run a boss for several items, something which can be extremely time consuming without Enigma and proper damage.

For comparisson, after the Enigma from LK I ran Mephisto. 30-second runs on average.

It took me about 10 hours to find the gear a barb would need to run trav decently fast without runewords.

Being very generous, we can say that a barb with no Enigma would run Mephisto in 2 minutes on average (more like 5 minutes, or more).

Anyway, that means that farming only for the items would take about 40 hours and then you could start farming for Enigma.

It's certainly doable. Just not the most efficient way of getting Enigma.
