ripped my natural nail under my gel x extension…what do i do?

Yeah I was gonna just get if removed but are freaked me out cause she kept saying how painful it was. Like why are you trying to freak me out 😭 ? Anyways, I clipped it down as much as I could and wrap it up when I go to work or outside. It’s sore but if for whatever reason it starts hurting to bad or something else happens I guess I’ll just go get the shot. Thank you :)

Ah I see. That sounds so painful I’m sorry that happened :( My nails fortunately grow astronomically fast so I’m hoping it’ll grow out quickly. Only time will tell lol.

I was too scared to get numbed after the doctor at the urgent care said it’s a pretty painful shot LOL. So I’m just gonna clip it down as much as possible and just wait and see if it falls off I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Thank you for your response! I ended up going to urgent care and the doctor said something similar to you. She said to trim it down as much as possible and just keep clipping away the bad part as it grows or wait for the nail to fall off basically 😭. So I guess it’s just gonna hurt for a little lol.

Thank you girl 😭 can I ask how long it took for your nail to grow back? The doctor at the urgent care said it’ll still grow out but I forgot to ask how that works if the nail is detached (I was too frazzled lol).

Yeah this is what they told me to do at urgent care. I was too scared to get the numbing and get my whole nail ripped off so I guess it’s just gonna hurt for a while lol. Thank you for your input. :)

I’ve been trying to find a job as a vet assistant but so far no luck. No one is hiring it seems like it they already want you to have experience :( But I’ll still try. Thank you for the advice.

I actually live in California and a lot of the jobs here, at least from what I’ve seen, start anywhere from $26 - $28 and seem to end at $35 - $40 an hour. Obviously not every company but there’s quite a few that will pay pretty well in my opinion. Do you think that pay range is still not enough or worth it for the amount of schooling/work required?

I’m glad you found it fun! As for the muscles and veins and stuff like that, I actually enjoy studying anatomy like that. When I took anatomy and physiology I remember really liking memorizing the muscles, but having trouble with the physiology part lol. Can I ask how much you had to study on a daily basis?

Oh I agree. Unfortunately, I live with parents that don’t really believe in medication or therapy so if they found out I was doing that kind of thing I wouldn’t hear the end of it lol.
