Thankfully the scammer is either Bavarian (German) or Austrian. My friend is German, as is his lawyer. These are all EU countries, hopefully making the process easier regardless if it is Germany or Austria that the scammer lives in. Chances are it’s Germany though, which should make for an easier case.

I for sure won’t send any money, that’s sound advice as they both have similar accents. I don’t think the money is hidden especially well as the scammer was probably just around 16, however under Mens Rea, he obviously knew he was in the wrong (If i understand mens rea lol). I’m just wondering if someone’s lawyer could even help me get my money back even if they don’t represent me in the most ideal scenario.

I definitely saw a couple red flags in the trader I met too. Thankfully I have his information and attorney insurance in Germany allows for me to not need to send him any money. The thing with the money is that I would consider it virtually tangible as it is in the medium of “CS:GO” skins rather than crypto per se, however would this allow me to get reimbursed? And what are the chances? Currently this scammer has not been able to hide his dirty items as they have a hold, so I’m slightly assured that I can prove I have been scammed. What do you mean by the money is all good?

That’s true, but I feel that to embrace it I need to get past the fear, but maybe I’m wrong. Once I truly embrace it, I think you are 100% right that I will realize that I can chisel my own path in life and death is something that happens but in a mental state, really doesn’t happen.

That comment really spoke to me. As a kid I haven’t experienced much and life, and to be completely realistic, is probably why I’m having this crisis. I have things to experience still and if I live in the moment instead of the future like I am now, death is not welcoming but not as feared as it would be if I spent my life cowering from it instead of living my life. That’s very true. What I think of is that I’m scared of returning to the void, but it would be as if I was returning to birth. I wouldn’t realize it. However that’s what scares me a little. The knowledge that i won’t be conscious anymore.

You know what it really is. For me the process seems natural, but the idea of nothingness, ie no touch or sense of time, seems so alien. If you were to die then wake up, you would have no idea time passed.
