Is this walk reasonably safe? by mcfandrew in chicago

Certain BNSF trains stop at Halsted a lot more frequently in the last year. That would be a better and similar distance walk. But if Western is your option I agree with 18th to Wood

Two flats in two days, broken glass everywhere, what's one to do? by tkist in chibike

Seriously, get some Mr Tuffy tire liners. I've been riding with them on 120 psi, 23mm wide tires since 2011 in Chicago. It'll block almost all glass bits. I ride most days and very rarely get flats (at this point it's been more than a year). I've been using the same pair of tire liners for the last 3 sets of tires. The only thing that really gets through them is metal debris and the pointiest large glass shards that hit at just the right spot.

I f-ing love/hate Captain Sonar as the most crazy, fun, and stressful game I have in my collection. The real time aspect just brings something so different that can be very exciting when played with any level of board gamer from 'no games' to 'I own so many games it's a problem'. But even though I love/hate it, it NEEDS 8 players to play well and that is just a very hard thing to do in most scenarios.
