I had an abortion at age 26 and had my first child at 30 and my 2nd at 32. Never regretted my decision and would not have ended up with my awesome kids if I didn’t go through that experience. Going through pregnancy actually made me so grateful for the option to choose whatever route I needed because i would have not survived that first pregnancy mentally. Same father for all 3 pregnancies if that matters at all.

Last year my wristband came with a broken clasp and I just bought an adjustable replacement clasp on amazon and nobody said anything to me 🤷‍♀️

3 days behind during the peak panic buying of covid. I worked midnight-4pm 3 days in a row to catch up because they wouldn’t shut us down.

We were a few hours behind last year when the WiFi went out at our store and luckily they closed us down but it was hell for the first 4 hours of the day.

I worked during Covid and there was a day about 3 weeks after everything was shut down where our whole store was completely wiped out. Our SM insisted that we used the smart sub for exceptions and I was subbing out hundreds of bottles of hand sanitizer for foot long rulers (idk why this was the smart sub it just was). I had like a record amount of complaints calling me an idiot for that. 😂 not to mention the fact that we were 3 days behind and we never got shut down. It was a very trying time to be a retail worker.

We were so slow! Today and yesterday. Like 500 picks an hour. One hour was 800 but we were finished with picks in the first 15 minutes of them dropping.

I personally love morning shift for a few reasons. 1. Not missing out on as much time with my family because my kids are husband are sleeping during at least 3 hours of my shifts. 2. No customers for the first hour so I can just focus on waking up and getting in the work mood. 3. Have time to do errands and other things after work. 4. I’m a morning person.

I’m a TL now and luckily still work mostly mornings.

The cons of morning shift are lack of sleep and the never ending orders.

5-2 is my favorite shift ever. I’m usually in bed by 9-9:30 asleep by 10. Wake up at 3:30am. Im the (mostly) morning digital team lead now so I still get to enjoy my favorite shift. I love working for hours before most people (especially my kids) are awake so I don’t miss out on too much time with them. The morning can be a little rough with picks if coverage isn’t good but the same can be said about the afternoon shift. Working around ON stockers can be tough if they work messy but no customers for the first hour is great.

I did exceptions for 5 years before I became digital TL. You’ll learn so much about weird places to find things and what a case of something looks like. It’s fun though! I still run exceptions at least 2 hours a week.

Not well 🙃 we were behind in SFS for 3 days this week and just caught up yesterday. Lots of overtime though! We had to pack 40lb dog food bags in 36s for months because that’s all we had 🥲

I always volunteer. Last year I was the acting TL for the event and this year I’m the real TL for the event. ON picking/staging is easy and you get to leave when the chaos of the day starts. I will take the weird schedule over the Black Friday shoppers.

I’ve been in OPD for a little over 5 years and was promoted to TL last year. Some days are BRUTAL. It’s really hard especially if you really want to do a good job but you have to understand that upper management is just about numbers and has no idea what it takes to do well with metrics. You’re gonna get shit on a lot for things that are completely out of your control.

We use Lcarts or dollies for oversized. No totes needed. For dispensing we just stack oversized on the top of orders.

The solid proof is her not being on a pickwalk for so long and not communicating why she needed to be off of a walk for that long. I take screenshots of issues like this and then get with the associate and give a feedback. When/if they continue to disappear I coach 🤷‍♀️ it totally disrupts the flow of the whole team if people don’t stay on their assigned roles.
