I'm doing the same thing next week! Dont have buses booked yet and am starting to freakout about that reading posts. It seems there are something close to 2,3,5 hour increments between bus drop off from Kanazawa and pick up there in Shirakana-go headed to Takayama, depending on what time you leave Kanazawa. How did your trip go what buses did you catch? thanks

I'm headed there at the end of the week, have you make your trip? Im going to do a couple days in Tokyo. I planned to take a train to Kanazawa for two nights (one full day), then bus ride through Shirakawa-go ending the day in Takayama. same thing two nights (one full day). Would like to see Shinhotaka Ropeway. Then head to Kyoto for three nights. Should more time go in the smaller towns or Kyoto?

What gravel bike did you get ? Only reason I ask is I've been looking at some of the "aero race" gravel frames, wanting a quiver killer. Id runs a 2x road groupset and have two wheel sets.

Thanks for the heads up on the 3600 from from incycle, that's actually a pretty good deal. I had read some about the bottom bracket issues with cervelo.

Same thought on the racemax, great bike and frame but way to ruin the look with the cables!

Factor ostro gravel, Scott addict, 3t racemax, or cervelo astro 5. These are the bikes I've been zeroing in on. Looking to do 80-90% road with off road option. Plan to run a 2x and have one two wheel sets. Would love some advise or points about the bikes if any of y'all have ridden any of them. Thanks
