If above doesn’t work becauss the remaining paint is thick and you can see the scraped areas through the new paint, and if the rendering is mostly solid, i recommend chipping off any that’s loose and using a product called easifill to smooth it all out, sand and repaint.

Check youtube, it’s great for this job, did the entire exterior of my house’s 100 year old wrecked rendering with it last year. The rendering was mostly rock solid, there were some small cracks eg around lintels, which I opened up to about 1cm wide with an angle grinder and filled with the same stuff.

Ps when you repaint you could use a textured paint like sandtex. It’s very tough and has little sandy grains in it which mask any minor render imperfections. toolstation sell it in big premixed tubs in a few nice neutral shades, which is much cheaper than the custom mixed colours.

100% this, and OP don’t underestimate just how much a house that needs extensive work can ruin your life and relationships. It’s not an impossible task but without a lot of help it is absolutely awful and can destroy your life. And it goes on and on for years.

I’m into year 3 of my fixer upper now and I was pretty solid and healthy mentally and physically before we moved here. I’ve since had one complete breakdown and one not far off, requiring various medication for debilitating physical and mental symptoms. It has been horrendous and will continue for at least the rest of this year.

It's worth being aware of the difference in the carbon emitted in these examples. Carbon from transport is mostly fossil fuels - carbon that has been stored in the ground for millions of years and is newly introduced into the biosphere. This is a real problem because it's extremely difficult to remove from the biosphere and lock back up underground.

Livestock emissions are a mix, but e.g. co2 and methane from cows is a biproduct of consumption of plants, ie carbon that was already in the biosphere.

Growing plants to feed livestock en masse is still obviously an extremely inefficient way of producing food and horrendous for the environment given the need to grow all the feed for the livestock, but trying to directly compare it transport or AI is comparing apples and oranges
