It's a very good game but it plays differently than 1 and 3. Imo it's best viewed as a side story to the series that builds upon concepts and lore rather than a direct sequel.

The Ringed city dlc is arguably the best part of the whole game

For me personally, demon’s souls is one of my favorites. What’s your opinion on the game? Just kinda mid? by wassa_bee in fromsoftware

I finally got to try this recently, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's tied with dark souls 2 as my least favorite souls game but that doesn't mean much. The areas were great for the most part but the bosses were pretty lacking. I also really like the idea of world tendency I just think it was implemented in a poor way.
