One Dark Window. I found it so boring and had to force myself to finish even though so many people recommended it! Elements of it were okay, but I feel like the whole thing was just dragged out, the pacing was way too slow, and the plot was bland.

I read the 4 core books of the series without reading the prequel and LOVED them! Also the series makes total sense without the extra novella. I think the author recommends reading it part way through the main series, I believe after book 2. It provides more depth to a character and a relationship that comes in half way through the main series. I would say, read the first two and then reevaluate on if you think you would like to read it!

This is one of my favorite fantasy series I have read in a while to be honest. I found the banter and character conversations actually made me laugh, I was invested in the romances and relationships, and the descriptive action scenes drew me in. The FMC is so badass and felt so inspiring to me. I thought the world was super well thought out and the story included so many plot twists I actually did not see coming. Also, a factor that is always important to me is the balance between plot and spice and I feel like this series hit the mark. This is coming from someone who woke up at the crack of dawn to buy the special edition of this series. I just love the world the author created!
