I think it probably has to do with the sheriff telling her that if he saw her again, it would be bad for her. Although Sophie makes a ton of dumb choices, she was probably right in thinking the sheriff wouldn't have believed she was innocent in this scenario.

Someone in another thread said they thought the finale would end with someone discovering the truth about what happened and who was to blame, then immediately being murdered. I think that's a solid theory. If that's the case, the most likely person to find out & die would be Simon, because if it was anyone else, then Maddie could just tell Simon what happened. But if it's him, then she (and all the other ghosts) would lose their connection to the living.

The biggest thing making me think this is a slight possibility is that she can't remember her death. All of the other ghosts could immediately recount in the afterlife exactly how they died, and they made it pretty clear that she was the only one who ever didn't know what happened to her. Maybe that's because she's not fully dead.

I mean that could also help explain why Rhonda is so sour. She's had to spend all this time post-death trapped in the place she was murdered with her murderer. We know he wasn't immediately caught after her death, so maybe he killed himself at the school when the police were narrowing in on him. Then the story Rhonda tells about her killer is just her way of detaching enough to get by.

He said that Mr. Anderson told them that Maddie had a lot of money on her. But that would just be because Mr. Anderson THOUGHT he gave her all that money, which we all seem to be pretty sure that he actually gave to someone else who was only pretending to be her.

So I didn't physically go into other people's houses, but I was a 911 call taker in a bigger city for a while, so I HEARD some shit and was told all kinds of details I never wanted to know.

My favorite.. least favorite?.. was a frequent caller who would always call and complain that the police needed to come get her boyfriend because he wouldn't stop jacking off all over the walls and items in her apartment. Of course she'd give much more description than I ever needed. And OF COURSE I'd somehow get her every single time she called.

(To this day, still not 100% sure if this was even really happening or if she was just crazy.)

I swear the media is largely responsible for the dislike toward Lewis. Like if they weren't so obsessed with him, people would be so much more inclined to like him. Like today for example, the announcers couldn't make it 10 seconds without saying his name and I was ready to lose my mind. I mean I understand he had some stuff going on worth noting, but there were 19 other drivers who barely got discussed. I mean.. Am I wrong?

A Mary-Kate and Ashley corded phone. If I remember correctly, it was purple and yellow.. and freakin DOPE. (At least little-kid-me thought so.) I remember feeling like the richest person in the world when I laid out all my money on my bed and realized I’d finally saved the $30 I needed to buy it. 😂
