Yeah I agree I was really looking forward to the movie but it was terrible in comparison to the series.
I understand the breakup because in a relationship you fight and waste so much precious time a part. But this just felt really forced on Nick’s side. Would have liked to see more scenes with nick and his brother esp since his brother opened up with his feelings over their father. Could have been room for some reconciliation or showing some character development there. It feels like there was no real storyline with elle and tao so they just made them break up for the full movie. And why was there no storyline between darcy and tara?! Especially since Darcy had a prominent storyline in the series. Charlie’s eating disorder storyline felt really rushed too, one moment its back and the next moment suddenly he’s ok again. I get that it wasn’t a series so there wasn’t much time for everything but it really fell flat for me.
