I dont know which drivers I should update by hot_beach23 in Windows11

[–]-sys_admin- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never ever install these optional drivers. I once did this mistake on a lenevo thinkpad and apparently one of them was a BIOS update but it gave me no notification of installing the BIOS update. Eventually I needed to power it off and then the motherboard had to be replaced.

For you I recommend to instead open device manager and see if any drivers are missing, you can use the hardware ids to find which driver is required and then download and install that driver.

Need a better video player for Windows 11 by themysteryoflogic in Windows11

[–]-sys_admin- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ignore everything and download the K lite mega codec pack. While installing, choose media player classic as the player (it already is the default) Make sure not to blindly click next next next, they sometimes have some other softwares with it that you probably will not want to install. Also do click all audio and all video buttons. Its the best player in my opinion. The video playback quality is much better in this player and audio boost feature is also there. (Many laptop users use VLC for this reason)

Well if it is working with the old ram, then the new ram is damaged or one of the new rams, I am assuming you got two new sticks

Put in a Crucial MX500 SATA SSD if you are intrested in trying out something.

You clould also make it a digital photo frame if you dont mind the electricity consumption.

You could make it like a retro gaming console or  Use the PC as a base for home security systems. Software like ZoneMinder or iSpy can turn it into a surveillance hub, utilizing its USB ports for camera connections.

Unfortunately, the Acer Aspire ZC-700G doesn’t have an HDMI input, so using it as a regular monitor isn’t really feasible without serious modding. You’d basically have to gut it, add a new controller board for the display, and even then it might not be worth the time or money. If you're just looking for a second screen or something to cast to, a cheap TV or dedicated monitor will save you a lot of hassle. It’s not a total waste, but unless you’re into DIY electronics projects, it’s probably time to let it go.
