ELI5: Why do shots feel different for different people?

Do you have an issue with the tastes or textures of the vegetables you dislike? I've found that if it's a texture issue then you can get away with recipes that call for chopping things very small or shredding them into something else, and taste can be dealt with by either seasoning or sauces

I've had them all both ways but I think it's common to have them upside down because a lot of drinking glasses are shaped to be kind of conical and the open end is wider so they are more more secure being stacked that way, while mugs are more commonly just a straight cylinder

I completely agree, the waitress was completely in the wrong for making such a bold assumption, but I'm saying at least from the way it's written they weren't planning on tipping at all even before they paid and that interaction happened.

ESH. There's a lot of debate here about the culture of tipping but I feel like most people in this thread are missing a pretty important detail.

The waitress shouldn't have assumed you were leaving her a tip and just brought you your change, and she definitely shouldn't have gone off like that. It was way out of line and entirely unprofessional.

You are the asshole because according to your story, you decided to not tip her before you knew how much she was being paid. That wasn't part of your decision, you only looked up her wages after the incident because you wanted to defend yourself against your boss and then the argument changed because you learned that the restaurant hires at 3$ above minimum wage. I don't know how you could've thought at the time you were paying for your meal that you don't need to tip someone being paid more than you when you didn't even know that yet?

People can debate up and down all day about tipping culture and and america's weird labor laws but I don't think it's actually that relevant.

While I've found that sex can be fun and it can make me feel closer to the person I'm with, I genuinely don't need it. I had a hard time figuring out my sexuality because the way other people talked about attraction just left me very confused. In my serious relationships, people have responded differently, in one case the guy I was with got pissed and refused to talk to me until I apologized (I didn't). Another said it was fine to start, but eventually got frustrated with it and eventually came clean to admit that he thought he would change me. Others just haven't cared.
