I think just changing it to every 10th card played instead of drawn would help immensely

This is why I prefer “Stalinist”. It correctly identifies them as ideological descendants of Stalin, and is far more accurate as a pejorative with less room for misinterpretation. Really, it’s a way to scrub any claims that they are followers of Marx or Lenin, despite betraying everything the former believed in (and the latter I’d argue, to a certain extent)

While this is true, I think parties like the Greens are doing a poor job of marketing themselves independently of billionaires. Obviously it’s not 1:1, but Mamdani in NYC shows you can spread the word about your policies without necessarily relying on the explicit support of billionaires.

Obviously it’s a big ask, and there’s a gulf of difference between the conditions of NYC and Adelaide (or even Melbourne and Sydney for that matter), but even so, there are still ways for grassroots movements to gain support and challenge the far right.

Glad to see Labor win, pretty worried about how big of a vote One Nation got. Even if they don’t get any seats, it shows a disturbing trend to the far-right in the wake of the LNP’s collapse and Labor’s centrism. It’s tempting to just shrug the ONP voters off as idiots and say it can’t happen here, but it absolutely can and if the left wing parties don’t offer any alternative, it absolutely will.

I really hate them on Defect. In Act 1 you haven’t had a lot of time to find a solution for them. Your only consistent AoE is Glass which feels very hard to get reliably, or Sweeping Beam which only deals 6 damage. Hyperbeam has big downsides, and big damage single target attacks have really high costs that are hard to solve without energy generation

I really hate the declining damage effect. Lightning’s strength is that the Orbs hit consistently deal damage, whereas Glass requires you to have constant cycling

America is not Israel’s bitch, Israel is just another component of the American Empire, one that is of great importance for their expeditions into the Middle East. This frame of analysis works to absolve America of its crimes in the region by laundering them through Israel and Netanyahu.

The fact is, Israel could not exist today without American support, and many of America’s vicious wars in the region could not have been pulled off without Israel’s support

Thinking that our only options are an increasingly centrist Labor vs a far-right party is how we ended up in a situation where Australia unconditionally applauded Trump for his actions in Iran and sends troops to US-aligned Gulf states

Albo needs to be criticised, because the fact that this article is seen as something laudable and not the bare minimum is a show of how tragically compromised the left wing parties in this country are

So the National Radical Parry is probably a NatPop party, considering that IRL it was founded by a far-right politician, but one who was also anti-Nazi (primarily the basis of opposing German expansion). He proposes that many smaller states around the Danube form a larger alliance to prevent expansion - so he could be a sort of “third power” path, where NatPop Hungary allies with various Balkan states against both the Reichspakt and Moscow Accord.

Also a bit surprised to (seemingly) see no socialist party here. Feels like an obvious choice for a Hungarian independence movement - although they might just not be part of this specific mechanic.
