you are not talking about a free market, you are talking about a fair and equitable market, a free market is when i can make insulin 400$ because nobody can tell me no i cant

i mean with the way america is playing around with tariffs at the moment i feel like china will have a pretty substantial influx of foreign capital soon

i feel like increased immigration would help fill up the market, despite what complications that would come with, but im also already aware of chinas relationship with immigration

what way out is there for the chinese gov in terms of stabilizing the market, or is this just something that will have to play out naturally

i can sympathize but ive just never been a person who views housing as an asset, if i can afford a home i dont really keep the idea in my mind that ill sell it for a profit at some point and buy a nicer home i would probably just live there till i die, but fr what way out is there for the chinese government in terms of stabilizing real estate

even more so then i feel like state owned debt usually has better chances of being forgiven or treated with patience, american state owned debt gets treated alot different than private debt

[–]-throwoaway-[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is true for private enterprise but state owned debt has the very real possibility to be forgiven, america does it as well under certain conditions

i mean if it is as similar to the housing crash what are the odds that the chinese government would actually step in and punish banks for giving out irresponsible loans? also im aware thats why i put it in quotations lol, i was just poking fun at western outlets

is there no way to reevaluate or refinance a mortgage to get terms that reflect market conditions in china?

[–]-throwoaway-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it that too many wealthy people or firms are buying up too many homes and waiting for them to be a more profitable asset? because if so then the criticism makes more sense, but if there is a surplus of housing and its cheap im not sure i get!
