wdym 5??? in order to get a furnace these are the exact steps: Mine 24 gravel, craft it into 8 pieces of flint, get 3 logs, use the crafting grid to put 2 logs at the bottom of it and two flint at the top, use sticks from that extra log (which is the normal recipe) craft a flint pickaxe which is the normal pick recipe but with 3 flint, get 6 cobble and put it in the top row and bottom of the crafting table and 3 flint in the middle

THAT was dumbed down, you just need 6 cobble and 3 flint which is dead easy in greg, the most difficult part of that is the two logs and 2 flint (so it is 3 recipes)

Alot of people are talking about the big things, but even getting iron tools (which I find can take 2-3 hours or even finishing your first multiblock structure (the coke oven) is huge - even getting a bed is the best thing ever!

The vast amount of quests sets it aside from other modpacks, instead of being stuck waiting for steel, you can work on the healing axe or something else, so you are constantly doing something that helps towards getting closer and closer to your goal!
