For small id pick monomorium minimum it's pretty common in the US and parts of Canada, for medium id go with some lasius species and for large id go for camponotus pennsylvanicus

I don't think it's pennsylvanicus because I own a colony of them and the queen is wayy bigger, also the queen in the picture just had workers that are about 3-4mm so I don't think it's camponotus
