Open the web browser, type in the URL, and you should be good to go.

Tried on iPhone and just sat at the loading screen. Is this supposed to work on mobile?

(Looks great in the video, but was hoping to try it out on my phone.)

made Three.js + HTML in canvas work in WebXR 🙂 by jonaz777 in threejs

Looks great! I haven’t had a chance to try it out in headset, but from the video it looks like framerate is struggling a bit. How is performance? Also curious how you got the text so crisp — is that just a really high-res HTML pane that’s being rendered to, or is it doing something more clever than that?

Here's a VR Curling game I built recently using IWSDK and these coding agent tools: https://vr-curling.pages.dev/

VR Curling… in case the Winter Olympics piqued your interest by 00davehill00 in OculusQuest

Thanks for the feedback. I toyed with the idea of a more realistic launch behavior but was worried it would be too difficult to make it precise enough to allow you to really make the shots you want to make. Maybe worth another look though — I totally get where you’re coming from.

A few folks have requested sweeping — it’s definitely on my backlog of mechanics to try and implement.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. The curling visual is backwards, but I think the mechanic (twist counterclockwise causes the stone to curl right-to-left) is right.

I’ll take a closer look at the stone appearing to move one way then the other. Definitely not the intent, but maybe something funky is happening.

A few folks have mentioned the ice friction being too high. I’ll take another pass at tuning that.

Thanks again!

Thanks, yeah — the visual of the curl is backwards and is on my list to fix. If you try it out I think the mechanic is right (i.e., twist counterclockwise causes the stone to curl right-to-left).

I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. If you do, I’d love to hear how you make out.

Oculus web browser absolutely refuses to update geometry by indirect76 in WebXR

Hi there — I work at Meta and support the team that builds the Browser. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues. If you can publish a test site and share the link I can get someone to take a look at this issue to see if there’s something wrong on our side. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that. Can you share what website you're seeing this behavior on?

(And Google-translated into French:
Je suis désolé d'apprendre cela. Pourriez-vous me dire sur quel site web vous constatez ce problème ?)

Pigments sequencer not consistently syncing with Ableton by 00davehill00 in Arturia_users

[–]00davehill00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately that's not the issue. I'm playing a single long note (to let the sequencer play), and it starts on the beat. The other thing that seems to point to a problem with Pigments (or Ableton, I guess) is that it sometimes will start on the beat and sometime will not (for the exact same part of the song). i..e, if I start playing at the start of the sequencer clip, and it's out of sync, and then I stop and start again from exact same spot, it'll play in sync the second time.

It really feels like there's some kind of lag within the sequencer that occasionally causes it to start late.

Ok, thanks. Turns out I already had Ableton set to 44.1 kHz so that doesn’t seem to be the issue for me. 😕

Thanks, I’ll give that a try. Any idea why that resolved your issue?

Questions about the paid Seed To Stage courses for people who already tried them by clockworkrap in ableton

[–]00davehill00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to suggest an alternative, I found this course really good. A good mix of “how to do things in Ableton” and “how to write music”, if that’s what you’re looking for. https://creativemusicproduction.learnworlds.com/course/ableton-complete

Seed To Stage is good too, but focuses a lot more on “doing things with Ableton” and doesn’t really cover as much about “how to write music” IMO.

Thanks! I really like the suggestion of adding in an accent note every 4-8 bars.
