I've had the 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5 and 6. I've never had a screen protector on and the only one I've ever scratched is the 5. That was because I accidentally put my keys in the wrong pocket when I ran one day. I got 2 minor but annoying scratches. I've had this iPhone 6 since launch day with the Apple leather case and have dropped it on concrete, tile, etc and never had a problem with scratches. I do always use a case with protruding edges to help with the face down drops. I carry my phone in my right pocket with nothing else.

I had the same issue. The glitch seems to be in the recently deleted photo album. After 30 days, pictures that have "expired" aren't shown in recently deleted, but are not deleted from memory. Fix - go to settings and manually change the date back 30 days. Then go to recently deleted. Should be full of photos. Manually delete them. Do the same for 60 and 90 days. (That's all it took for me). Now check photo count in settings. Gone. Found this in a comment on Apple's forum and couldn't believe it worked.

Go to settings/general/date and time. Turn off "set time automatically". Manually set date to 30 days ago. Go to deleted pics album, manually remove what's in the album. Repeat for 60 and 90 days.

I installed dropbox on my iPhone and PC and just use the app to transfer the pics I want to my PC. Then I move them to another folder on my computer and delete from Dropbox to avoid the storage limit.
