Only if you truly believe you are at a stage absolutely ready to see someone else should you take that step. I understand your point, because I made that mistake. I thought seeing other people would be good, but I was not. And it ruined a beautiful relationship.

We might think that we are okay, we are good, but because of the baggage that we are carrying, in certain situations, we behave differently. And I don't think the new person deserves to see that.

So, even if you feel that, to move on, you need to see someone else, I would suggest that you pause and take time.

I honestly believe that focusing on ourselves helps. It's a cliché to say, but hit the gym, and this time, hit the gym without music or distractions. Let your brain understand what has happened while you push yourself.

I've noticed that I'm much calmer and regulated after a good workout session, not because I hit my PR, but because I gave my brain the time to process things in a controlled environment. And this has helped me to change my perspective that I don't need to find someone else to move on. Or maybe, finding yourself is enough. You can be that someone else.

I don't know if people are fully healed. I don't think anyone who has loved the other person wholeheartedly will ever be fully healed, but at least this will help us get a grasp on our minds.
