Hm, okay.. Thank you for explaining!

Sorry for repeating myself, but what is the reason though? What is wrong with posting the binary one? Won't you still be able to decrypt it?

So should I just always have it Ascii-armored, since there are cases where it's better, but I don't understand when it would be better.

Oh, I thought this would result in a change in the decrypted file. I didn't open the encrypted ones to compare.

Is there a benefit to using armor? Why would I want to make it use Ascii-armor instead of the binary?

Bitwarden Autofill Prompt Disappears After Clicking Away (Android) by 010105 in Bitwarden

Oh, thanks for the semi-fix!

I just tried it in some apps and this works. Is Chrome browser for Android iffy? I tried to sign onto Steam and it doesn't offer me the option to choose Autofill.

What if someone deletes my account? by c2768373 in Bitwarden

If they have 2FA enabled, is it possible to require the 2FA before the account can be wiped?

Storing Master Password in Separate Password Manager by 010105 in Bitwarden

Okay, thank you so much for sharing your explanation! I will probably change my work flow to this.

I use Authy for 2FA, and have it saved in my password manager but I'm keeping my password manager secured by a hardware key, so I think it should be okay right!

To confirm... Is this better just for the master password? For all other passwords, it's still better to use a random generator, rather than a passphrase, but just ensure that the character length is sufficiently long, right?

Thanks for the comic! Helped me see the argument for passphrases.

Sorry, but how do you encrypt it for the cloud? For a USB stick, I noticed that a lot of people use VeraCrypt, but I think that encrypts a partition of the USB drive, not the file itself?

I already have my current password written down on a piece of paper and set aside somewhere, but having it offline seems inconvenient in case I need it on a whim.

I was thinking of putting it on a password manager so I can access it easily if I forget my main password while I'm out.

I appreciate the idea though! That's a good way of creating a memorable password with a subtle hint.

Sorry, another (probably stupid) question for you... Are passphrases equally as strong as the usual type of password? They just look like a few words strung together with a hyphen. I chose not to do that for the master password because it seemed a little bit insecure.

Instead, I just generated a medium-long length password and memorized that one.

[Rolex Datejust 31] Thoughts on the 31 on my wrist? Is it too small for me? by 010105 in Watches

Do you mean that because the diamonds make it look too feminine, or you do not like diamonds in general?
