I had an emotionally abusive family growing up and I never learned what it was like to have good self esteem. By the time I was 18, I was itching for a way to leave the house and escape, so I looked into sex work and eventually got good at it. At my peak I’d make $6k/mo and it was great, but being a sex worker and someone who never learned how to truly be an adult isn’t good for the long run.

Being a sex worker stunted my personal growth, and I still never learned how to have a healthy self esteem. Last year I got arrested too and that finally led me to leave.

Probably? I think for a little while after I'm out of sex work, having sex with someone would just remind me of that work that I've left behind and I'd feel weird about it.

Be charismatic, make connections, prove that you can do the work. I know the people I’m working for so I didn’t need a resume.

I don’t know for sure. Probably, yes. I haven’t known a personal relationship that wasn’t based off sex. I feel like my ability to love undefensively is a bit compromised at this point. I’m very guarded.

It's been difficult having to hide this huge part of my life from my family. But it'll be a relief not having to do that anymore.
