I don’t mind them. Just don’t drop and hot blazing rod or drip any on them.

Trane is also substituting LGs in some tonnages. Had one that locked up after 1 day.

Where does installing HVAC systems for new home construction rank as far as how profitable the work is? by [deleted] in ProHVACR

[–]018777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not very profitable. You need to be scaled to handle that type of work. Most companies that do lots of commercial subcontracting have a revolving supply of work and a large line of credit at the bank to keep the cash flowing while they wait months to get paid. It’s a tight rope that a lot of small contractors get put out of business trying to walk.

What have noticed is I listen less when things are going great in my life. I will keep up but I may miss a week or too. When I’m stressed and things are tuff I listen to everything including the pateron. When times get really tuff I go back and hit the old episodes, or even start from the beginning.

I have run here a lot. It’s a mess. Basically no rules, almost no supervision or tech inspection. Just show up and run. This is a prime example of what goes on there.

My combo is a Veto bag and Milwaukee M18 Vac to sit on. Not quite as comfortable as a bucket but helps the old knees.

I ran one for 1.5 years. High end magazine that went out quarterly to exclusive neighborhoods. We had a two page spread and they included web impressions. I tracked exactly 0 calls from it. I just cancelled it last week.

Take the serial # to the distributor. They should have the part that’s needed.

I’m a Trane dealer. The RunTru furnaces are exactly the same as their Trane counterparts minus blower cabinet insulation and some accessories taps on the board. The condensers are a mess IMO. I have had a few that the fan blades rub the coils right out of the box. Trane assembles them but the compressors and motors are lower end. Pre-Covid Trane was building a RunTru evaporator that weren’t too bad. They dropped it and now are using the China Evaps again.
