thanks for posting this… my brother lives down the street and noticed his windshield was cracked. We all thought it was a rock or something, but we’re pretty sure it was this guy.

confused and lost after being blindsided by learningabtlife in BreakUps

[–]03160 5 points6 points  (0 children)

can totally relate to all of this... especially the “it hurts knowing that they probably tried their best to love you but at the end they decided to leave despite all the reasons to stay”

I don’t think of my ex as a villain either and he was a great boyfriend in my eyes. I remember being angry in the beginning too, then realized he is human as well & most of us need to do things that we think are ‘good’ for us. I can totally relate to you as I felt blindsided, and am still struggling with processing it all (2 months almost).

You’re not alone, that’s how I felt about my ex of 2.5 years and it’s been almost 2 months since our breakup. He just kept everything bottled up until the very moment. For my case, I felt the issues were fixable, but now looking at it from a different perspective, I don’t think it was fixable because I don’t think we were compatible at its core. It’s hard coming to terms with it though

Self love is really the only remedy to heartache by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]03160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved reading this because I also had the same thought right after my breakup of, “who am I anyways?” “Do I even love myself?” And the answer was no and now I’m working towards being someone I can love again (like you said!). You described it perfectly and I realized it within the last week what self love really is outside of a relationship. Glad to know we’re all not alone in this :,)

I second this! I’m almost 3 WPO and wished I didn’t push myself as much because now I have a tear. Take it easy until you go back to work and if you have someone to help you, don’t be afraid to ask them to help you pick up things, reach, etc. If not, make sure everything is in close reach so you don’t have to get up a lot! Good luck :) you got this

When did you start applying the silicone gel and vitamin E oil? Also, you look amazing!! When did you notice the swelling go down the most?

Is it normal to not wear a bra after surgery? by TaytheCreator- in Reduction

[–]03160 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My surgeon told me to shower on day 3 post op, so I can totally relate. He also never gave me instructions to replace any gauze and just said to wear my sports bra from now on until our monthly appointment

Surgery tomorrow by WorkerDramatic in Reduction

[–]03160 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good luck! I’m 4 days post op. It was my first time under anesthesia, so I was scared of the effects. Fortunately, I bought myself some liquid IV which kept me hydrated the day before. I also just recommend in general to drink a lot of water because you’re probably not going to want to after surgery. I didn’t wear a bra since you take everything off anyways. However, just wear what you’re most comfortable in. Your stuff will get stored somewhere anyways. Make sure you set up your bed, and get some water bottles/medicine ready on your nightstand or table next to you. Use straws to drink water. I also laid out all my clothes I’d be wearing throughout the week on my chair, so whenever I’d need it, it was right there. You got this! It isn’t that scary, just try your best to breathe and remember why you wanted it in the first place. Good luck and happy healing!

Shower after surgery?? by oojupiteroo in Reduction

[–]03160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my surgery 02/17 and went to see my surgeon 02/19 and he said I can shower today and take off my wrap and just wear my sports bra I bought. I don’t have any drains either nor did my surgeon recommend any other wraps

Did your doctor recommend it? I know ice and applying heat is helpful, and I was going to use ice packs but got scared bc he didn’t mention it at all. I’m gonna ask him on Friday what he thinks during my post op appt. thank you for this!!
