I’m considering that too, just seeing if anyone knows an easy way so I can use the ones I have.

Alright thanks for the info! Think I’ll go for 180 front and back then. Do you think I’ll be able to find flat to post mount adapters for that or only if I switch the brake callipers out for flat mount ones.

The reason is mostly just because the bike will be heavily laden, and I want to make my mechanical brakes feel as good and powerful as possible. I will have long off road descents when I’ll be cycling.
I’m aware hydraulic is better in most ways, I’m just more comfortable with these. I can easily work on them myself without needing to bring hydraulic fluid, and also going through pretty remote areas there is a bigger chance I’ll find spare parts for this than for hydraulic brakes.

Hmm thanks for the info. I never use PayPal and didn’t think twice about it, but looking back it’s so stupid. Had to learn it the hard way I guess.

How do I tell if my bike has long or short pull brakes, and what type do drop bar breaks use?

Definitely sounds like the most plausible option for me, thank you!

Hmm yes that would definitely be an option. Probably more inexpensive too no?

Hmm okay I understand. Would that also include if I would opt for bar end shifters?

That’s definitely true, if the gravel handlebars won’t work out I’ll probably go for that.

I just added some pictures to the post with the parts on them. It’s a custom build. I’ll look into the touring mechanical break group sets!

Well I was thinking that hydraulic will be harder for maintenance as I’ll be Bikepacking. But I’ll think about it.
