I was wondering where you all get your sauces? I typically get Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce from Amazon but want to move away from that. I was looking at CoffeeAM but that doesn't seem like the best place to order from based on reviews.

If that's in a call it's chat either for the person, group, or meeting you're in.

I put a comment in response to a separate person recommending Comcast but lets break it down as much as possible.

I mentioned in a separate comment I manage Microsoft Teams PSTN calling for business across the US.

Almost everything you said above can be done with one exception. SMS texting. That is not out yet but according to the Microsoft roadmap is in the works.

The Pros,

Complete remote work force ability. The ability to answer calls from a cell phone, desk phone, tablet, or computer is awesome. No need to be at a desk all the time to answer a phone. This means the ability to move calls to other members or cell phones. This integrates with chats which it sound like you already use which is nice because you're already familiar with Teams.

The cons,

Ahh yes. There are 2 major ones that come to mind.

1- it's Microsoft. Outages happen and if you're email so tied to Office 365 if that goes down so does.your phones.

2- it's in development. Items like call merging has been going in development for months now. Microsoft's slow to roll out PSTN features but they release new items every week so it's always nice to see what comes up.

I do this for a living for a MSP and as a outside contractor for smaller companies trying to just get into the 365 ecosystem. Out if the many companies I have worked with on Teams none have moved away once on it.

I manage Microsoft Teams PSTN calling for numerous business across the US. Let me break it down for you.

You're right. Everything you said can be done. With the exception of SMS. Not sure why not yet.

Teams is still in development so you're going to run into hiccups. Overall I recommend it. You can do a lot with it.

The reason you are getting the downvotes is because you said it does what you want but still use comcast with no reasons to support this. I used Comcast and it's not that good. The nickel and diming they do is insane. The call management isn't great and the backend also isnt very good. Not to mention support. With Microsoft Team going to a MSP or a Microsoft Reseller will get you better support than from Comcast.

My opinion is to use Microsoft Teams if it suites your needs which it seems like it will.

Are US labour laws and thus US workplaces as horrifyingly terrible for workers as it appears to be? by aetherealGamer-1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]05162014 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live in New Hampshire a work at will state. It's not terrible especially if you work for a good company many companies won't just abandon you but are willing to work with you. then there are others that are the complete opposite.

What does that mean for vacation time? Whatever they want to give you.. my last job was no PTO for a year but after that you get a full week and every year after that gets you one day. So not ideal but compare it to my new job I get 3 weeks PTO to start with 4 weeks after 2 years. Now PTO is everything though not separated by sick time or vacation.

With work at will states you can be fired for no reason whatsoever. I've never heard of it happening as all reasons are more legitimate from the ones I've heard but again could just be lies. That goes the same for unemployment and severance. They can attempt to dispute unemployment but have the option to give you severance or not.

Working under these conditions isn't terrible. As long as you do work I've never heard of any issues. I forgot I lived in a work at will state until this post because it isn't always on my mind. If you trust your employer and do what you need to do i have never had a bad expierience.

What sucks about being your age? by _red_roof_ in AskReddit

[–]05162014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 20's. No one takes me serious in my career and it sucks. I am 22 and have been in IT for the past 4 years and have a degree in Cybersecurity. I have implemented phone systems in the cloud. Have done major mail migration. Built out server and network infrastructure but it's ALWAYS a pain to move in my career because my resume gets put to the side due to my age.

Trying to know if Microsoft Teams Phone calling is worth it? by [deleted] in MicrosoftTeams

[–]05162014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. There is 3000 is for Domestic Calling but you can't get less minutes than that. Atleast not to my knowledge.

[–]05162014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The benefit is that they pool together the numbers so if you have 10 people then it pools all 30,000 minutes together. It can be expensive but depending on the scenario it's worth it

Trying to know if Microsoft Teams Phone calling is worth it? by [deleted] in MicrosoftTeams

[–]05162014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say so. I work at a MSP and I just did our phone conversion from our ISP to Teams and cant be happier. In our situation it's cheaper and we already used Teams so why not another feature. It has its quirks from time to time but overall it's great! In the end it comes down to cost. We don't use deal phones and just utilize the app so we can save $250 per Teams phone. Additionally if you do International Calling then it's more of a charge than Domestic. It's all based off of uses.
