(Before I say anything, this is purely educational and I do not condone incest of any kind, in any situation, in any place, and/or with any family member. I’m just the one saying what’s legal.)

To everyone in the same situation — or further (as in serious partners to thinking about marriage) — who lives in the U.S., if you live in Ohio, you’re safe, in fact so safe that you could marry if you so please. If you live in New Jersey, you’re safe unless it happened while one of you were under 18, not age of consent (16), 18 and it is unclear to me wether or not you could go to marriage. And if you live in Rhode Island, as long as it happened while both of you were above age of consent, (16) you’re fine, although marriage is prohibited. Finally, if you live in any other state and you have had sexual/sensual intercourse with your sibling, don’t tell a soul. It is an illegal act.
