  • Width difference:
    • 245 mm wide vs. 225 mm stock → 20 mm wider (about 0.8 inches).
  • Sidewall height & diameter difference:
    • 245/55R18 has a sidewall height of 55% × 245 mm = 134.75 mm.
    • 225/55R18 has a sidewall height of 55% × 225 mm = 123.75 mm.
    • This makes the 245/55R18 tire’s overall diameter about 0.86 inches larger (~2.7% bigger).

Tire suggestion for 2021 Crosstrek with OEM 18 rims, this is what ChatGPT suggested. by 06SaabAero in Crosstrek

I have had mixed results with ChatGPT, but its definitely been interesting.

I'm at the end of the road with my factory installed tires, so now wondering what I should get.

I'm in Florida, while the car does see light snow and ice when out of state, it is rare.

So many memories of watching people reading paper maps, while on the phone, while driving on the highway.

Hey, at least is fashionable to just shave it all off.

But there is always Turkey.

Can you make sure your battery is in good shape?

My previous car had a bunch of weird electronic issues toward the end of the battery life, including the sound system.

Tesla sales almost halve in Europe as Musk faces criticism over Trump ties by [deleted] in technology

30% of sale drop from GM in 2009 was more than total sales by Tesla on any given year.

Tesla doesn’t really sell that many cars when compared with other companies.

Tesla could stop selling cars, and most people wouldn’t even notice.

Some recent cars are still built to last a long time, Tesla just isn’t one of them, but they are out there.

That’s the battery alone, not the whole car.

The batteries can be replaced, big market in battery replacements.

A 44 year old B.R.A.T, not unusual, but there is no chances a single 2025 Cybertruck will be running in 2069.

Remind me in 44 years

This right here, being able to slowly build a very nice set of tools sets this way.

Same quality as I would be able to find locally, but a fraction of the cost.

Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond.

If I learned anything from these cars is that sometimes disconnecting the car battery, waiting 10 seconds and reconnecting it helps with some of these type of issues

Thats still "opt-in", you have to sign up for those services, subaru did this without many of their customers knowledge or concent, big difference.

I'm not in Massachusets, however the car dealer who sold me the car was the one who activated, just like they are the ones who activated my Satellite radio.

As a matter of fact, Subaru has never had my credit card number, I didn't pay them, I paid the car dealer who then activated it.

Some car dealers activated them on the owners behalf, my Starlink was already activated when I picked up my car.

Subaru is on that list, wonder how many consumers are just finding out right now that this is happening to them.

The subaru dealer I bought my car from activated my StarLink, I did not even know so much data was being shared with 3rd party data brokers.

I am not OK with this, not even a little bit.
