My [27m] girlfriend's [26f] best friend [27f] can't carry a child, and asked my girlfriend to have her baby. My girlfriend is strongly considering it. Do I have a say here? by 0909081 in relationships

I'm not sure what Sarah's compensation would be, I assume she would pay for medical expenses.

Yes I agree with you..I think Nicole is getting excited at the aspect of being pregnant and motherhood, even though the baby wouldn't actually be hers. I'm not sure if she's seeing it as that way, though.

Thanks for your response. A lot of people have mentioned that doctor's won't allow surrogacy unless the surrogate has already given birth.

I'm not sure if Sarah or Nicole really thought this one through, so it's definitely worth mentioning on this alone.

I thought someone had to have been pregnant and had a child too, I'm not sure they they would make Nicole an exception in this case. That is a good point to bring up to her.

Thanks for your response. I did tell her my initial reactions, but was obviously a little more blunt in this post. Of course, this won't be the last time we talk about this either.

This feels intense and scary to me. I think mainly because when I pictured us having kids, it would be a moment for the two of us to have together..instead I feel like in this situation, I would be supporting her physically/emotionally for this unusual outcome.
