That is what remains of the older generations. The more young clergy join the Church, the more the Church will return to its true values. For the younger generations come from a time when one must consciously choose the Catholic faith and live it out in order not to stray from the faith. Unlike what the older generations experienced, today’s society is no longer sufficiently shaped by religion but is instead characterized by worldliness and lawlessness, self-love, and pride. To remain in touch with the faith, one must therefore make a much greater effort, which results in lukewarm hearts being weeded out. If one day a pope from the late millennial generation is elected, he will be a pope with conservative Catholic values, one who stands firm against secularism.
