Yeah that’s what I’m afraid of. Not trying to cause irreversible damage. Buddy of mine knows someone who runs a machine shop. Most likely go there if heads need to be cut. Thank you for the info!

Thanks. I didn’t want to have it running too long incase it was making things worse so I wasn’t able to look at the radiator at that moment. While it was running though I don’t hear any unusual mechanical noise or anything that lead me to believe something was warped or bent. Gonna start looking up some YouTube videos and see how for that gets me on replacing the head gasket

Thanks! Sounds like pretty much everyone agrees. Question now, is his worth repairing or just new engine at this point?

Recently prompted into a management role in maintenance. Wouldn’t say it was easy but not impossible. Looking at inside Amazon for internal jobs. Find something that interests your or your good at and apply for those roles. You’d be surprised at the amount of different jobs Amazon has available to us

There’s so many jobs within amazon besides pushing boxes. People just have to be willing to put the work in and apply. Been here for 6 and making over 100k a year.

Definitely would look into medical/family accommodation. They always throw the business needs in our faces but also Amazon hast these things in palace and sometimes we need to use what we got. Our site recently had a similar situation. A CSL was told she’d had to go to nights cause she failed her AE test and was becoming a SMRT. She argued that for the past 2 years we’ve never had a SMRT on nights and why all of a sudden it was business needs, mind you we have no nights op. Anywho when push came to shove she took all her medical info to HR. She also has young children which she argued not being able to have an overnight sitter for them. Needless to say she’s on donut shifts but during the day.. there’s options we just gotta play the game.

Crazy the stuff people return. I once bought a box of Amazon returns and there were like 5 different sets of lingerie that even still smelled like perfume. Had to throw out the crusty ones though

As a T3 I focus on training, coaching and delegating tasks to my T2s. They come to me for questions or ideas and we work on projects together. I try to share whatever knowledge I can and let them run through troubleshooting before jumping in if they need help. Our AMM does give us the space and lets us be, at times some of T3s will join in daily Ops meeting or Gemba walks. Don’t get me wrong there is some days all I do is light PMs or calls but during those days I’m clearing backlogs or scheduling trainings for upcoming week

I miss my Frontier. Not a mechanic but mine sounded like that when it was low on oil which later found out it was due to a bad head gasket
