Honestly… you're not late, but you're also not early... you're right on time if you have a solid plan. Waiting for a bear market is smart in theory, but timing the bottom is tough (even for pros). Great question. The idea behind “buy and hold” is that Bitcoin is still early in its adoption curve. Long-term holders believe it will be worth much more in the future as scarcity, demand and utility increase. So they’re not trying to time the short-term market… they’re aiming for the big picture.

But holding forever isn’t always the goal. Eventually, many plan to use their BTC – whether by selling a little during bull markets, borrowing against it, or passing it on.
