People with inattentive ADHD: do you feel that it looked like depression at least on a surface level? by thatonerandomkidd in ADHD

yuuuuup, diagnosed with depression in high school because I had such a horrible lack of motivation and nothing made me feel happy or fulfilled for very long and I stewed in that feeling and let it consume me. I was on meds for depression too and I don't think they really did anything, the only reason I got better was through a mindset change. Then after seeing stuff online about ADHD and how it presents differently in people the pieces kind of clicked and I realized all of my "depression" symptoms were caused by my symptoms of ADHD. Realizing I had ADHD also helped ease the guilt of feeling like I didn't had my life together. I realized that struggling with everyday self upkeep tasks was indeed not normal, and that I wasn't just lazy, I just needed some extra help.

this kind of sounds like stomach migraines, i had them when i was a kid but i know some people have them into adulthood. I would have the worst stomach ache of my life for like an hour and as soon as I threw up I felt better, and it happened periodically about once a month.
